Stone Ridge library makeover taking shape
Daily Freeman – 4.12.13 – by Ariel Zangla – The library has begun a $300,000 restoration campaign. $180,000 has currently been raised.
“Basically, this is a pay-as-you-go project,” Ford said of the restorations. She said the library still is accepting donations and is writing grant applications to try to raise additional money for the remaining work.
Reconstruction of the Dutch door has begun. Window lights will be installed. Steel rods will be put in the building to hold the walls together. A new furnace will be installed.
