Phoenicia Library plans approved by Shandaken Planning Board
Daily Freeman – 4.11.13 – by Jay Braman Jr – Despite concerns that neighbors on either side of the library building opposed the rebuild plans, the Shandakan Planning Board approved the plan. “The Main Street property owners on either side of the Phoenicia Library had filed a lawsuit against the town of Shandaken over the recent Zoning Board of Appeals
decision to grant the library several variances to rebuild on a larger scale. But last month, state Supreme Court Justice Richard Mott ruled the Shandaken Zoning Board of Appeals acted lawfully when it gave the library five variances last December.”
