Hurley Library’s proposed budget for 2015 goes to voters Oct. 23
Daily Freeman – 10.13.14 – The vote will increase the tax levy by 2%. “The proposed budget holds personnel, operational, administrative and maintenance costs at their 2014 levels; forecasts a 38.5 percent jump in utility costs; and predicts that donations will jump from $800 this year to $7,600 next year. Revenue from fundraisers also is forecast to rise significantly. Also on the Oct. 23 ballot will be two four-year seats on the library board. The candidates are incumbents Arlene Ryan and Susan Mason and newcomer Diana Cline.”
